We ‘let go of what we knew, to learn and be able to do something new and better’
This phase is possibly the most difficult to understand and apply. The difficulty of this phase mostly lies in the point of having to ‘release or let go’, either partially or completely, of what we had previously learned at some past stage.
It is often not easy to appreciate the added value of this stage since the person’s mind is quickly positioned in the security and comfort of the previous phase, where I denoted some type of progress and improvement. Therefore, the person assumes and concludes that what was good for him or her for a certain time should be with him or her for the rest of his or her life. However, that is the deathly trap of evolution, learning, knowing, and/or achieving.
Example after example, both in nature and in the lives of great people, entrepreneurs, and innovators in history and worldwide, it is known that progress, in the form of something new and better, is given from the change and transformation of the old. Unfortunately, the attachment that exists in people’s minds to the vision of custom makes it extremely difficult to make that leap over this phase.
There should be no problem when the person enjoys their phase 5 process before experiencing phase 6. The conflict arises when it takes ‘too much romance’ to phase 5. In reality, this ‘false romance’ only hides insecurity and fear of getting out of there. Which may be understandable but ultimately unnatural to life.
Fortunately, or unfortunately for some, the process of life is so strong and wise that sooner or later, the person will have to move (or be moved) and ‘reinvent’ themselves in order to experience this last phase of knowledge and growth. From now on, the cycle of the six phases can restart and/or repeat accordingly.
Questions to explore:
Have you seen if you have reached this stage?
Are you or have you fallen into the trap of false attachment or romance?
Have you already asked or received help to accept and move forward with this phase?
