Important Considerations for Asking for Help Today, 2024 – Phase 1

Pedir ayuda2-3

Possibly, this is one of the phases most feared by everyone, and therefore, it is where the vast majority of people in a community live. In principle, admitting to others that we don’t know something everyone ‘seems’ to know is scary. Assuming the truth that you don’t know would make you look, to others, like the ‘strange’ man or woman in the group. You expose yourself to ridicule, shame, or some attack from others (who also don’t know what you don’t know).

However, beyond the finger-pointing (positive or negative) from others, there is also the fear of oneself when recognizing that one does not know how to achieve what one wants. Living and believing that we know and can (despite the multiple results showing otherwise) is a defense mechanism in our minds, to not look back at the results of reality, and not question ourselves. A false hope will never tolerate questioning, hence the need for defense (at all costs) and denial.

Unfortunately, amid ‘modern’ times, it has not been possible to see, recognize, and exalt this phase for what it really is. It is the starting point, which EVERYONE (at different ages and stages in life) goes through. No one who has been great, in whatever area, escaped or skipped this starting point. This phase is the starting point that opens a thousand opportunities to get to know and achieve what you want to do.

The person who awakens from the illusion of ‘knowledge through social osmosis’ can get up, fearful, perhaps, but upright and with less heavy load on his head, shoulders, and gaze with others. And the opposite is true for the person who does not recognize that he does not know.

Questions to explore:
Have you asked yourself if you recognize yourself in this phase?
Have you felt trapped under this phase?
Have you already asked or received help to get out of this phase?
